We are currently hiring Access System Coordinator

Your mission at GARDAWORLD:

Scope of Position:

The Coordinator, Security & Life Safety, is accountable to the Supervisor and/or Manager, Security & Life Safety and is responsible for the administration of the base building and tenant access control systems, including the facilitation of passcard issuance.

The Coordinator, Security & Life Safety, is an administrative position which will co-ordinate Access Control System needs for both internal and external customers as well as direct the billing and maintenance of the system(s) on a scheduled basis.

Main Responsibilities:

 Responsible and accountable to conduct pro-active inspections of the access control system to ensure its integrity and operational effectiveness.

 Provide consultation for and co-ordinate with tenants on fire system alterations / additions.

 Administer and generate monthly alarm billing reports.

 In consultation with the Manager of Security & Life Safety, provide new business quotation letters and follow-up with contractors in a timely manner.

 Responsible for the Standing Tenant Order (STO) / Service Level Agreement (SLA) review/adjustment and monthly billing.

 Vendor invoice review and administration.

 Process access control system service calls and follow-up documentation.

 System reports production and presentation.

 In consultation with the Manager, Security & Life Safety, co-ordinate card reader installation and commissioning.

 Customer correspondence and email processing.

 To administer and generate monthly Pass card Billing.

 Responsible for Pass card generation, application processing, administration and database maintenance.

 Provide input into the development an annual budget as related to the Access and CCTV systems.

 Accountable to ensure that all company policies, standards, core values and the Code of Conduct is observed.

 Other duties as assigned.

Education and Skills:

 Post-secondary level or equivalent work experience.

 A diploma from a recognized institution in Security technology or equivalent would be an asset.

 Minimum 2+ years in a physical security environment.

 Certified Protection Professional (CPP) designation or equivalent would be an asset.

Direct Supervision & Project/Team Leadership Or Training:

 Provides guidance and training to other employees in work unit or department and in addition, assists with the direction of work flow and the delegation of work as it relates to the Building access control and CCTV systems

 Supervise no employees.

Special Requirements:

 Minimum 2 years access control system management experience.

 Superior customer service / interpersonal skills.

 Superior communication skills (verbal / written)

 Time Management skills.

 Certified in First Aid. CPR and Defibrillator.

 WHMIS trained

 Professional and self motivated.

 Courteous

 Trained in the four Customer Service Training modules.

 Able to work in a team environment or independently as required.

 Trained in Operational Awareness of Environmental Regulations and Compliance.

 Excellent MSOffice skills.

 Strong knowledge of access control and CCTV systems.

 Strong Interpersonal relationship skills.

 Ability to prioritize job functions under stressful circumstances.

 Commitment to continued learning.
