Gardaworld is currently hiring a Human Resources Advisor for our Protective Services business line in Mississauga.

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Human Resources and working collaboratively with members of the management team, the successful candidate will provide advice and expertise in the area of labour relations research support and backup assistance on training and development.

Your Duties will include:

* Supporting the collective bargaining process
* Implementing and interpreting the collective agreement
* Advising on all employment and labour relations polices, agreements and issues
* Support management on matters relating to the Collective Agreement including seniority, job postings and disciplines
* Conducting research to assist with the design and implementation of policies and procedures
* Conduct grievance resolution meetings and grievance arbitrations
* Represent the Company in a variety of joint labour committees
* Perform related duties in support of the day to day work

You are the ideal candidate for this position because you possess:

* Post graduate education with major course work in Labour Relations or Human Resources, or a related area; or any equivalent combination of experience
* A minimum of 1-2 years in working with collective agreements

* Candidates are required to have strong skills in communicating, analytical thinking, planning, and organizing
* A strong understanding of labour relations, policies and procedures, employment legislation (work experience with Provincial legislation is ideal), and collective agreements is also required
* Strong teamwork and partnership orientation
* Sense of urgency, outstanding communication and problem solving
