Ready to suit up as a Surveillance Security Guard

As a Surveillance Security Guard, you will be the person spotting threats before they escalate in environments such as security operation centres, call centers, construction sites, parking lots and gatehouses, etc.
Schedule- Monday – Friday 0800-1600
Location- N1G 4Y2 Guelph

Responsibilities for Surveillance Security Guard

Monitor and analyze security systems, including CCTV and alarm panels, to detect suspicious activity or potential vulnerabilities.

Respond immediately to incidents, elevated voices, or potential threats, and de-escalate situations to ensure safe and friendly interactions.

Conduct regular interior and exterior patrols, including parking lots, to maintain the safety of the premises.

Greet, inform, direct, and escort visitors, staff, and other users as needed.

Control access to secure areas, verify visitor identification, and manage the exit of equipment.

Apprehend offenders, detect and remove undesirable individuals, and coordinate with authorities as necessary.

Provide assistance and ensure safe evacuation of buildings during emergencies.

Participate in the transport or escort of valuables.

Document all incidents, observations, and security activities in detailed reports.

Collaborate with law enforcement during serious situations or emergencies.
Qualifications for Surveillance Security Guard
- Be authorized to work in Canada
- Hold a valid security license
- First aid certification required
- Reliable transportation
- Full G or G-2 Ontario Driver's license required
- Strong report writing skills
- Good eyesight and excellent ability to maintain focus
- Strong proficiency with technology
- Ability to stand and walk throughout shift
