We are currently recruiting an Onboarding Coordinator to be based at Winnipeg International Airport on a permanent, full time basis to coordinate the efficient and effective onboarding of candidates for airports across the Prairies region.

 

Working closely with the Recruitment Team and Training Coordinator, major responsibilities will include referencing and background checks, facilitating training enrollment and the maintenance and ongoing analysis of data relating to onboarding numbers, security clearance statistics and recruitment trends.

 

 

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Managing the onboarding of candidates to support GardaWorld’s ongoing staffing requirements and providing an effective and efficient onboarding process
  • Track, monitor and process documentation related to new applicants in a timely and accurate manner
  • Completing referencing, background checks, personality assessments and reviewing the successful completion of applicant documentation
  • Working with the General Manager, Logistics and Senior Manager Training Coordination to facilitate candidate enrollment into training and ensuring that enrollment targets are met on schedule
  • Working with local management in airports across the region to ensure that support is available to take candidates through the initial stages of onboarding
  • Taking ownership of and maintaining recruitment & training trackers whilst updating candidate status in ATS, (SuccessFactors)
  • Liaising with Airport Authorities to confirm new security clearances received and monitor status updates of ongoing applications for aviation security clearance
  • Working with the Recruitment Team on the analysis of  internal recruitment figures, statistics and trends (i.e. Application rates, candidate success rate, candidate withdrawal rate), to ensure ongoing efficiency and effectiveness

Skills and Experience

  • Minimum 2 years in a related role demonstrating transferable skills and experience
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and work to timelines
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, in particular Excel
  • Excellent attention to detail, communication skills and adaptability
  • Experience in working with detailed processes & procedures

 

 

Assets

  • Experience in a unionized, federal and / or heavily regulated environment
  • Experience with an Applicant Tracking System, (in particular SuccessFactors)
  • French fluency written & oral

 

 

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in a related field
  • Must be a Canadian Citizen or a permanent resident as defined in the Immigration Act, with an employment authorization document
  • Able to obtain a Transportation Security Clearance and Secret Security Clearance
  • No previous criminal background for which a pardon has not been granted
  • 18 years of age or older
  • Availability for travel
