Special Business - Operations Manager

We are currently hiring Special Business- Operation Manager – Mississuaga, Protective Services

Reporting directly to the National Operations Director, means this individual will be managing all of the day to day operational field staff for special events and temporary projects for our customers. The successful applicant will need to have previous experience in the security industry; and possess superior communication and leadership skills.

The Field Staff Director will work closely with our Account Managers Schedulers and HR Advisor to provide world class services to our Client’s.

On a typical day, you will be responsible of:

* Ensure resources are appropriately and efficiently allocated to sites and that priorities are always covered adequately without overtime;
* Maintain a database of quality event employees, and update information as needed;
* Attend requests, ensuring all details are communicated and confirmed appropriately to event staff
* Updating vacation requests of field staff, and ensuring that there is adequate coverage to maintain services at all times;
* Ensure performance and attendance issues are addressed at the correct time, in accordance with GardaWorld’s policies and procedures
* Provide coaching and counseling to field staff while working with Human Resources to Initiate, co-ordinate and enforce all company policies and procedures
* Drive efficiencies throughout the operation in conjunction with the Account Managers, Schedulers, and Recruiters
* The Manager is not required or expected to attend ever special, but would attend the events that require oversight due to size, hours and scope.

You are the ideal candidate for this position because you possess:

* 3 – 5 years of experience in the security industry
* Exceptional people/customer service skills
* Proven ability to take initiative
* Must possess high energy
* Professional with great attention to detail
* Must be able to Multi-task and manage multiple projects
* Proven to be well organized and confident

Preference will be given to Candidates who possess:

* Supervisory experience within a unionized setting
* Scheduling/Dispatch experience
