Mobile Security Guard - Sudbury ON

If you are looking for your next professional challenge, we have an opportunity for you! As a mobile guard you will play a key role in the day-to-day operations for the Peterborough Branch and gain valuable experience. Every day brings something new as you respond to alarms, patrol client properties and provide support to staff while in the field.  Successful applicants will have one year of related security experience with a reputable organization, have an unrestricted Ontario G-Class Licence with clean driving record and excellent verbal and written English communication.

Prior certification in areas such as Non-Violent Crisis Intervention, Verbal Intervention or similar disciplines will be seen as a major asset however is not required.

All applicants must be able to work 1900-0700 on a rotational basis. 

Pay Rate: $20.00 - $22.50/Hour depending on position and experience

What does a Mobile Guard in Sudbury do?

• Patrol client sites in GardaWorld marked vehicle to deter unwanted activity and address security related incidents
• Respond to alarms and calls for service at client sites
• Composition of detailed incident and patrol reports
• Enforcement of site rules, regulations and bylaws
• Reporting of emergent situations to appropriate authorities and client contacts and liaise with first responders
• Serve as an ambassador of GardaWorld to community members and clients
• Provide support to other guards in the field
• Other duties as required  

Qualifications to become a Mobile Guard in Sudbury

• 1 to 3 years of consistent related security experience with reputable organization

• Demonstrated effective Verbal and Written communication in English

• Familiarity with Trespass to Property Act, City of Peterborough Bylaws and Criminal Code

• Demonstrated experience working with vulnerable populations

• Valid security guard license and first aid card 

• Available to work flexible hours  

• Have a clean criminal record  

• Be eligible to work in Canada

• Full Unrestricted Ontario G Licence and Clean Driving Record

• Be able to effectively communicate motivation for applying to position
