What matters most about a role like this is your sharp eye, capturing every detail as you scan a series of screens. Your strong observation skills with attention to detail are your greatest strengths. 

As a Surveillance Security Guard, you will be the person spotting threats before they escalate in environments such as security operation centres, call centers, construction sites, parking lots and gatehouses, etc.

Schedule- Sat/Sun 0000-1200 

Location-  N9C 0B9 

Training pay rate- $19/h

Responsibilities for Surveillance Security Guard

• Communicate clearly via radio, plant radio, and phone system

• Monitor fire alarm system and investigate alarms

• Manage rail movement on site and ensure safety protocols are followed

• Create customs invoices for trucks crossing the border

• Monitor clearance updates for products and trucking companies

• Record, prioritize, and follow shipment schedules

• Record all persons entering and leaving the property

• Handle a high volume of truck traffic

• Create bills and invoices for shipments

Qualifications for Surveillance Security Guard

• Be authorized to work in Canada
• Hold a valid security license
• First aid certification required
• Capability to manage high truck traffic volumes
• Proficient in Excel and other computer programs
• Strong organizational skills to record and prioritize shipments
• Ability to stand and walk throughout shift
