Full Time Data Centre Security Guard

We are currently seeking a Full-Time Security guard for a Data Centre in Barrie.  This position is an excellent opportunity for those looking to progress in the security industry due to advancement potential within the site.  This role will see you patrolling, providing access control, monitoring CCTV and investigating alarms in a state of the art facility in Barrie's South End - minutes from Highway 400. 

Schedule: FULL TIME continental rotation with two weeks days then two weeks nights (Week #1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday /  Week #2: Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday).  Shifts are 0700-1900 on days, 1900-0700 on nights.

Applicants MUST be able to work the full schedule in order to be selected. 

Pay: $18.00/Hour starting with potential for advancement and pay increase

What does a Security Guard in Barrie do?

• Facilitate access control to building and sensitive areas of the facility
• Exhaustive foot patrols of facility and proper reporting of issues through proper channels
• Upkeep of access and equipment logs
• Providing escorts for contractors into restricted areas
• Testing of building security and fire systems
• Alarm investigation and reporting

• CCTV Monitoring 

Qualifications to become a Security Guard in Barrie

• Valid security license 
• Valid CPR/First Aid from WSIB approved provider 
• Available to work schedule described above
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ease with computer systems
• Able to complete regular foot patrols
• Able to properly articulate motivation for applying and working in security field
