Part-Time Tactical Security Guard, Weekday Afternoons

Schedule: Monday -Thursday 1630 -2115 (19 Hours Per Week) 

Pay Rate: $18.50 Starting - $20.00/Hour Following successful completion of training and probation.

What does a Security Guard in Barrie do?

• Patrol the client's site on foot, both indoors and outdoors

• Prevent unwanted activity such as loitering, vandalism, drug and alcohol use

• Detailed report composition and documentation for submission to the client for follow up and resolution

• Remove individuals violating rules and by-laws from site

• Act as a liaison with first responders should an emergent situation arise 

Qualifications to become a Security Guard in Barrie

• Valid Ontario Security Guard License 

• Valid Standard First Aid/CPR Level C from a WSIB Approved Provider 

• Be eligible to work in Canada (Valid Work Permit, Study Permit, Permanent Resident Card OR are a Canadian Citizen)

• Minimum 6 months security experience or relevant education such as Police Foundations 

• Comfortable working in downtown, urban environment both indoors and outdoors

• Previous certification in NVCI, Use of Force or both would be an asset, but not required

• Excellent Written and Verbal communication which can be demonstrated in an interview without the aid of a smartphone or computer
