What matters most about a role like this is your sharp eye, capturing every detail as you scan a series of screens. Your strong observation skills with attention to detail are your greatest strengths. 

As a Surveillance Security Guard, you will be the person spotting threats before they escalate in environments such as security operation centres, call centers, construction sites, parking lots and gatehouses, etc.

Schedule 1 - Monday to Friday 07:00-15:00

Schedule 2- Monday to Friday 15:00-22:30

Location- L7R 3Z6

Responsibilities for Surveillance Security Guard

• Provide exceptional customer service by welcoming visitors, verifying identification, answering inquiries, and directing guests appropriately.
• Manage access control and monitor entry and exit points.
• Conduct regular interior, exterior, and parking lot patrols to identify and address potential safety and security risks.
• Monitor CCTV systems and operate alarm panels.
• Respond immediately to elevated voices, alarms, disturbances, and emergency situations.
• De-escalate conflicts professionally while maintaining a safe, secure, and respectful environment.
• Inspect security equipment and report maintenance or operational issues.
• Perform basic computer and administrative tasks related to security operations.
• Respond to incidents, provide first aid when required, and coordinate with emergency services.
• Prepare accurate incident reports and communicate security concerns to supervisors and management.
• Maintain a visible security presence to ensure the safety of employees, visitors, and property.

Qualifications for Surveillance Security Guard

• Be authorized to work in Canada
• Hold a valid security license
• First aid certification required
• Strong report writing skills
• Good eyesight and excellent ability to maintain focus
• Strong proficiency with technology
• Ability to stand and walk throughout shift
