GardaWorld’s Pacific Region is expanding at a rapid rate, and we are looking to add an energetic security professional (Account Manager) to our security services team based out of Burnaby, to champion and assist our account management team with our Lower Mainland book of business.


Account Manager Mandate:

GardaWorld Account Managers play an important role in the operational structure of the company with responsibility for maintaining and enhancing high profile customer relationships.  They also play a key role in enhancing relationships with our uniform staff, supporting them and working with them to ensure GardaWorld is delivering a high level of service to our clients while creating a positive work environment that supports and develops our staff.


Job description

Reporting to the Senior Account Manager and Regional Operations Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Enhancing & retaining high-profile accounts through interactive solutions;
  • The successful candidate must demonstrate professionalism in the management of clients;
  • Develop and implement plans for operational infrastructure, change management, special projects;
  • Manage continual operational improvement of assigned portfolio;
  • Ensure consistent adherence of corporate standards as well as ISO and COR compliance;
  • Work with the local and regional teams to ensure goals are met or exceeded;
  • Ensure operational efficiency in branch operations;
  • Mentor and coach security officers in the field, with a relentless focus on exceeding customer expectations;
  • Provide subject matter expertise in navigating unique client needs.


Day to Day Tasks

Working out of Burnaby Office, as well as remotely in the field with our clients and staff, you will:

  • Act as lead and key contact in customer and field staff relationships
  • Liaise with our National Team to support local initiatives and contracts
  • Ensure innovative, creative and effective solutions are delivered to our clients in a timely manner
  • Build and improve client relationships
  • Collaborate with other team members, both in the Pacific Region and across Canada in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Liaise with both office management as well as client management and supervisors

Job requirements

  • A diploma or bachelor’s degree in a related discipline, or other relevant work experience
  • ASIS International certification will be an asset
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the security or related industry, managerial experience is an asset
  • Excellent oral and written communication 
  • Ability to lead and coach a large team
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and Customer Relationship Management software
  • Available for travel throughout the interior of BC, as well as to the Vancouver area when required
  • Desire to work in a face paced, rapidly developing business unit of an international security company
