The Assistant Security Manager is responsible for ensuring the client receives the service agreed to as stipulated in contract. The Assistant Security Manager will establish and nurture an ongoing productive relationship with the client’s representative, ensuring that lines of communication are established and continuously open. The Assistant Security Manager is expected to acquire an understanding of the client’s business and operating processes in order to identify and/or recognize the client’s security requirements and, consequently, offer cost effective solutions to those needs.

On a typical day, you will be responsible for:
- maintain an on going relationship with Tenants and Construction Contractors working in Tenant space and around property
- work directly with Customer Service Staff and Building Tenants to ensure Tenant needs and Property standards are being maintained
- Maintain an on-going relationship with all City of Calgary Emergency Departments
- regular communication with on-site security personnel
- act as primary contact point for the client, all external building contacts
- will be responsible for maintain the site schedule – including but not limited to ensuring all site shifts are filed
- recommend operations and management protocols that will help you implement an efficient organized security program
- attend Security and Safety meetings on site
- answers directly to Security Director, Team Leads answer to Assistant Security Manager
You are the ideal candidate for this position because you possess:
- Post-secondary level or equivalent work experience.
- A diploma from a recognized institution in Security technology or equivalent would be an asset.
- Minimum 2+ years in a physical security environment.
- Certified Protection Professional (CPP) designation or equivalent would be an asset.
- Time Management skills
- Professional and self motivated.
- Superior customer service / interpersonal skills
- Superior communication skills (verbal / written)
- Able to work in a team environment or independently as required.
- Excellent MSOffice skills.
- Strong Interpersonal relationship skills.
- Ability to prioritize job functions under stressful circumstances.
