What You’ll be Doing

  • Foster employee engagement through day-to-day Human Resource Activities
  • Assist site Branch Managers with strategies and tactical needs to ensure compliance with appropriate federal and provincial employment laws and company policies
  • Handling labour relations which can include, but is not limited to, harassment investigations, performance management, and union grievances
  • Maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive employee matters and Company information
  • Assist with interpretation, application, and implementation of our Collective Bargaining Agreements
  • Assist with preparations for Collective Bargaining Agreement negotiations and implement outcomes
  • Additional tasks as required

What We’re Looking For

  • 5 or more years in Human Resources, Labour Relations (or a related field), with stories to tell!
  • Ability to work in an armed environment
  • Interpersonal, problem solving, organization skills and a team player
  • Detail oriented and dedicated to meeting deadlines
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, high stress & high volume environment
  • Ability to prioritize workload and adapt with minor supervision
  • Ability to build and maintain internal relationships with Business Partners
  • Prior experience with internal investigations is a plus
  • Formal HR/LR education is a plus
  • Prior experience managing union relations
