Responsibilities for Night Security Team Lead
- Lead and supervise a team of security guards across assigned locations/shifts.
- Develop and maintain duty rosters, shift schedules, and task assignments.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with company policies, security protocols, and regulatory requirements.
- Train new security personnel and provide ongoing coaching and performance evaluations.
- Conduct regular patrols and inspections to ensure all areas are secure.
- Respond promptly to incidents, alarms, or emergencies and document detailed reports.
- Liaise with local law enforcement and emergency services when required.
- Maintain records of daily activities, incident reports, and investigations.
- Conduct risk assessments and recommend security improvements.
- Ensure the security team presents a professional image at all times.
Qualifications for Night Security Team Lead
- 1 to 3 years experience in personnel management in a unionized environment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills (English an asset)
- Valid Alberta security guard license and first aid card
- Available to work flexible hours
- Proven experience in a security role, preferably with supervisory responsibilities.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of security operations, safety practices, and emergency response.
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations and make quick decisions.
- Basic computer skills for report writing and scheduling.
