Job Summary:
|
|
The position holder is responsible for monitoring, analysing, and responding to security events across the organization’s operating environment. Their primary goal is to identify operational bottlenecks, analyse performance data, and implement data-driven solutions to improve overall efficiency, reduce costs, and maximize productivity. This role acts to support the continuous improvement of security controls and operations in general..

Key Responsibilities:
|
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Collect, manipulate, and analyze complex datasets to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and business metrics.
- Process Optimization: Map out existing workflows, conduct root-cause analysis, and recommend strategies to eliminate inefficiencies.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with departments (like IT, sales, or supply chain) to seamlessly integrate new policies and technological tools.
- Stakeholder Communication: Translate technical findings and data trends into clear, actionable reports and presentations for senior management.
- System Troubleshooting: Monitor internal systems, and operational structures and make recommendations to address operational issues.
- Reporting & Documentation — analyze incident reports, metrics dashboards, and operational documentation to make meaningful deductions for operational efficiency
- Policy & Compliance Support — Assist with audits, risk assessments, and adherence to internal security policies and regulatory requirements.
- Continuous Improvement — Recommend enhancements to detection rules, processes, and security posture based on lessons learned and emerging threats.

Accountability:
|
|
The security operations analyst is responsible and accountable to the Head of Security Operations for the responsibilities stated in this job description. These responsibilities will be monitored and managed through the mid-year and annual performance review and supported through the monitoring of KPIs.

Qualifications
|
- Possession of a relevant University Degree in security management
- At least 5 years’ clear and demonstrated experience in a similar position
- Demonstrate practical knowledge and experience in security operations analysis in a busy setting
