Airport Quality Assurance Manager

GardaWorld is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Manager to join our leadership team at Edmonton International Airport. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, this role is responsible for ensuring all security operations meet regulatory requirements, company standards, and client expectations. You will lead quality assurance initiatives, conduct audits, and support continuous improvement across the site.   • Full time permanent position Monday-Friday 8 am- 4 pm

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Compliance & Regulatory

  • Ensure compliance with Canadian Aviation Security Regulations (CASR) and Aerodrome Security Measures
  • Monitor regulatory changes and implement updates
  • Act as a subject matter expert and provide guidance to frontline staff

Quality Assurance & Audits

  • Conduct internal and external audits, including infiltration testing
  • Identify risks and improvement opportunities
  • Document findings, develop corrective actions, and track remediation

Health & Safety

  • Lead health and safety initiatives and ensure OH&S compliance
  • Conduct assessments, investigate incidents, and implement preventative measures

Training & Development

  • Support onboarding and ongoing training programs
  • Identify training gaps and recommend performance improvements

Reporting & Administration

  • Compile and analyze KPI and quality metrics
  • Prepare reports for leadership and clients
  • Support the Operations Manager, maintain documentation, and manage the employee recognition program

Client Relations

  • Build strong relationships with airport authorities and clients
  • Address concerns and provide regular quality updates

 

Qualifications

 

Required

  • Minimum 3 years of leadership or management experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Meet the clearance eligibility requirement of having resided in Canada for the past five (5) consecutive years to obtain and maintain a Transportation Security Clearance.
  • This job requires background and security checks.
  • Legally authorized to live in Canada

 

Preferred

  • Reliable transportation to and from the work site is preferred
  • Experience in security or airport operations
  • Background in audits, inspections, quality assurance, or compliance
  • Knowledge of CASR and Aerodrome Security Measures
  • Experience with training delivery and KPI analysis
