Casual High Profile Security Guard

What we are looking at filling:

• Individuals to be trained at our downtown High Profile Commercials buildings and Retail sites. Looking for an individual who can work both days, evenings, and nights.
• Positions are only accessible by transit no parking is provided.

What you'll be doing:

• Interior and exterior patrols
• Conducting daily functions of the security unit including access control, security escorts, responding to calls for service, report writing/note-taking, and replacement for vacation book offs
• Performing property inspections and enforcing property laws, client rules, and other regulations
• Provide keys and temporary passes to visitors/employees
• Liaising with visitors and customers. and the general public on a consistent basis
• Providing customer service information and assisting in handling the questions of visitors
• Maintaining a positive, productive work environment through positive teamwork

What we’re looking for:

• Good verbal and written communication skills – English is required
• Valid Alberta Security Guard license
• Strong computer skills
• Customer service oriented
• Must be able to work up to 12-hour shifts
• Physically fit to walk 10-15 km per day
• Leadership and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a stressful environment
• Comfortable with removing unauthorized individuals from the property- hands-off policy
