GardaWorld is hiring Casual and Part Time Security Guards in Edmonton and surrounding areas. As a GardaWorld team member, your primary role is to ensure the safety and security of client assets, tenants, and visitors with professionalism and courtesy.
What is a Casual Security Guard?
Casual Security Guards adapt to various sites and work environments, gaining diverse experiences. One week you may work at an office tower, and the next at a community college, retail mall, or condominium. Hours are flexible, with the opportunity to work up to 40 hours per week.

Who You Are:
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Calm under pressure and service oriented
- Skilled in report writing and incident investigations
- Adaptable to different settings and able to work shifts 4–12 hours, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and winter periods
- Customer focused with excellent hospitality skills
What Does an ADHOC Security Guard Do?
Your responsibilities will vary based on the assigned site but may include:
- Conducting routine patrols (interior, exterior, and parkades)
- Professionally interacting with clients, customers, and visitors to resolve disputes
- Enforcing site specific rules, such as access control, ID verification, and restricted area protocols
- Maintaining a safe environment for yourself, clients, and the public
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Alberta Security Guard license
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
- Customer service experience
- Proficiency with apps and technology
- Criminal Justice or Police Foundations Diploma is an asset
