Role Summary

We’re seeking energetic, resilient sales pros to generate new residential customers through door-to-door canvassing and local community outreach. You’ll educate homeowners on intrusion, video, smart home, and monitoring solutions, schedule same-day/next-day assessments, build proposals, and close on the spot or through short-cycle follow-up.

What You’ll Do

Prospecting & Canvassing

  • Execute daily door-to-door routes in target neighborhoods (assigned territory or blitz zones).
  • Quickly identify decision-makers, establish rapport, and deliver concise, value-driven pitches.
  • Generate and qualify opportunities; book assessments/demos (same-day when possible).
  • Leverage community events, HOA/condo boards, local businesses, and referral networks to open doors.

Sales Execution

  • Conduct needs assessments and basic site walk-throughs; position the right package (intrusion/video/access/smart devices/monitoring tiers).
  • Present pricing, promotions, financing, warranties, and monitoring plans clearly and compliantly.
  • Prepare quotes and close; manage short follow-up cycles (SMS/phone/email) to secure decision.
  • Coordinate install dates and hand off cleanly to operations; follow up post-install for satisfaction and referrals.

Process & Compliance

  • Maintain accurate CRM entries (notes, stage, next steps, required fields).
  • Adhere to door-to-door rules: signage, hours, building/municipal policies, and do-not-solicit lists.
  • Uphold privacy and communication laws (CASL, PIPEDA, QC Law 25); respect do-not-call/do-not-contact requests.
  • Represent the brand professionally with ID badge, company attire, and safety-first conduct.

What Success Looks Like (KPIs)

  • Daily activity: Doors knocked, contacts made, demos booked.
  • Conversion: Contact → Appointment, Appointment → Sale, close rate by package tier.
  • Revenue: Monthly new sales, RMR growth, promo uptake, accessory attach rate (cameras, smart locks, doorbells).
  • Cycle time: Time from first contact to install; cancellation/rollback rates.
  • Quality: Post-install CSAT/NPS, zero compliance violations, clean CRM hygiene.
  • Referrals: % of deals sourced from referrals and neighborhood testimonials.

You’ll Thrive Here If You Have

  • 1–3+ years of field sales, canvassing, or retail-to-home services (security systems, telecom, solar, home improvement, or alarm monitoring preferred).
  • High energy, thick skin, and a positive, coachable attitude; comfortable with outdoor, door-to-door work.
  • Strong discovery, objection handling, and closing chops; confident presenting at the door or kitchen table.
  • Organized with CRM proficiency (Zoho/Salesforce/HubSpot/MS Dynamics) and mobile sales tools/CPQ.
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel locally.
  • Bilingual (English/French) strongly preferred in QC neighborhoods.

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of intrusion, video surveillance, smart home ecosystems, and monitoring options.
  • Experience selling RMR subscriptions and handling credit/financing workflows.
  • Community ties (property managers, builders, realtors, neighborhood associations).

Work Environment

  • Full-time; peak canvassing often late afternoon to early evening and weekends.
  • Field-based, outdoors in varying weather; regular local travel between neighborhoods.
  • Team huddles, ride-alongs, and ongoing coaching; safety and professionalism emphasized.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Uncapped commission with accelerators on over-achievement and RMR.
  • Performance incentives & branded apparel/ID.
  • Sales tools: mobile CRM access, proposal, digital contracts, call/text enablement.

Compliance & Safety

  • Follow provincial/municipal solicitation bylaws (hours, permits, building policies).
  • Respect do-not-solicit signage and resident requests; no pressure tactics or misrepresentation.
  • Adhere to neighborhood etiquette, personal safety protocols, and company code of conduct.
