JOB DESCRIPTION 

 

Your Role: The Inventory & Operations Analyst is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and operational effectiveness of inventory across technician vehicles, warehouses, and operational locations. This role owns inventory monitoring, reconciliation, and control enforcement, while also supporting broader operational analysis to improve efficiency, reporting, and decision-making. This is an operations-facing role requiring strong analytical capability, process discipline, and accountability mindset.

 

Who you are and what you are responsible for:

 

Inventory Control & Governance 

 

•Monitor inventory levels across technician vehicles, warehouses, and operational facilities

•Perform regular system-to-physical inventory reconciliations

•Identify and investigate inventory discrepancies, variances, and control failures

•Maintain inventory accuracy across all inventory locations

•Ensure compliance with inventory procedures, stocking standards, and controls

•Work directly with technicians, warehouse staff, and operations managers to resolve inventory issues

•Support implementation and refinement of inventory control processes and standards

•Assist with cycle count programs and audit procedures Operational Analysis & Reporting

•Generate inventory performance and operational reports

•Analyze SKU usage trends, stocking levels, and inventory movement patterns

•Identify opportunities to reduce material waste, excess inventory, and stockouts

•Provide operational insights that support cost control and field efficiency

•Assist leadership with data-driven decision-making regarding inventory planning and stocking models

•Support operational initiatives related to inventory optimization and process improvement Cross-Functional Collaboration

•Partner with Operations Managers, Finance, Warehouse Teams, and Field Technicians

•Support training and communication around inventory procedures

•Assist with implementation of system improvements related to inventory tracking

•Participate in operational improvement initiatives led by the Operational Excellence team

 

Required Skills and Attributes :

Successful candidates typically demonstrate:

 

•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

•Attention to detail and process discipline

•Experience working with operational or inventory data

•Ability to investigate discrepancies and identify root causes

•Strong communication skills when working with field teams

•Proficiency with Excel, reporting tools, or ERP systems

•Intermediate SQL proficiency or equivalent (ability to query and analyze data)

•Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Zoho Analytics or similar tools an asset

•Mathematics / Statistics Relevant experience is more important than specific degree.

 

Working Conditions

 

•Primarily office-based

•Occasional field visits to operational locations

•Occasional evening or weekend work during inventory counts or operational projects
