Manager, Program Delivery (Contract)

We are currently recruiting a Manager, Program Delivery based in Edmonton International Airport to provide training to management and unionized staff across the Prairies region while supporting the skills development of our training specialists.


This opportunity is initially on a temporary six-month contract basis with the potential to become a full-time permanent position.


GardaWorld is the largest provider of aviation services for the Canadian Air Transport Security Authority (CATSA), offering security screening services in 27 airports across Canada.



  • Deliver training to management and unionized staff throughout the Prairies Region
  • Encourage the skills development of training specialists through Train-The-Trainer, (TTT), sessions and ongoing oversight
  • Consult on employee training, certification status and performance progress trends
  • Review Quality Assurance data and advise on proactive training recommendations
  • Pursue continuous improvements to skills development training
  • Provide assistance with document development and control
  • Support emergency response training
  • Work with managers to develop programs and processes
  • Support additional duties, as required

Skills Requirements:

  • Competence and ease with technology, (including Microsoft suite of products; Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint at minimum)
  • Strong oral and written communication
  • Excellent customer service and people skills
  • Ability to prioritize, remain calm and multi-task under pressure in a dynamic environment
  • Accountability for their own actions and decisions and able to work independently
  • Alert and detail-oriented
  • Fluency in English, spoken and written
  • Fluency in French, spoken and written, is an asset
  • Previous experience in the security and aviation industries is an asset
  • Previous experience in document creation/control is an asset
  • Previous experience in quality assurance/control is an asset
  • CATSA SCTR, (Screening Contractor Training Representative), qualification is an asset
  • CATSA Supervisor qualification is an asset


Eligibility requirements

  • Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident status
  • 18 years of age or older
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • No previous, non-pardoned criminal background
  • Must be willing and able to regualrly travel to any of GardaWorld’s airports throughout the Prairies Region
  • At least one (1) year experience in a similar role or two (2) years combined experience in training, management, and / or quality
  • At least one (1) year of experience in a high-pressure role using advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Transportation Security Clearance and a Secret Clearance
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain CATSA Screening Contractor Training Representative qualification
