Resource Optimization Coordinator - Halifax

Reporting to the Duty Manager, the ROC assists in implementing employee daily work schedules, including securing additional resources to fulfill scheduling requirements. Completing various administrative tasks is essential to this role, including data management for resource management. The Resource Optimization Coordinator assists the SDM and DM by focusing on deployment, movement, and break management to ensure the full utilization of resources.
The responsibilities of the Resource Optimization Coordinator position:
- Collaborate with the Duty Manager to implement and adjust employee daily work schedules. Including but not limited to the deployment of Breaks deployment, location deployment, and training deployment.
- Ensure the timely and effective deployment of resources to meet scheduling requirements.
- Assist in securing additional resources when necessary to fulfill scheduling demands.
- Work closely with other members of the Service Delivery team to identify and address resource gaps and assist with the decision-making process.
- Complete various administrative tasks related to resource optimization and deployment.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation to support resource management efforts.
- Analyze and break down data related to resource utilization using internal scheduling software.
- Collaborate on strategies to enhance resource optimization and overall Service Delivery efficiency.
- Authority to coordinate and direct workforce deployment in accordance with operational requirements, collective agreements, and company policies.
Requirements for the Resource Optimization Coordinator position:
- High School diploma or related field or equivalent work experience.
- A minimum of 2 - 3 years of experience in resource management.
- Preference will be given to individuals with experience in the aviation industry.
- Ability to obtain and retain a RAIC (Restricted Area Identity Card) and Transport Canada Clearance
- Proven ability to execute action plans and resource deployment.
- Experience providing operational coaching and guidance within a unionized environment is considered an asset.
- Strong focus on continuous improvement and analytical abilities.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and adapt quickly in a fast paced operational environment.
Employment conditions:
- Most of the time is spent at the front line of the business (indoors) but may occasionally work outside, with frequent opportunities to move about.
- Exposed to situations that would be considered stressful, requiring the application of stress tolerance.
- Physical requirements include but are not limited to - standing; lifting; bending, stooping, kneeling.
- Ability to mentally focus and concentrate for prolonged periods.
- Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
- Work in a collaborative team environment with frequent interaction with operational employees, service delivery managers, and duty managers.
- Work schedules will be subject to change based on operational requirements.
- Overtime can be controlled but may be required, dependent on operational requirements.
