We are currently seeking a professional and experienced Loss Prevention Security Guard to join our retail team to proactively identify and prevent theft, fraud, and safety risks within the store.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in retail loss prevention, is highly observant, and is confident in handling apprehensions while maintaining professionalism and discretion. What matters most in a role like this is your ability to read the environment, anticipate risk and act accordingly. Your keen sense of observation and strong social skills are your greatest strengths.

Responsibilities for Security Guard - Loss Prevention in Sudbury

• Conduct undercover surveillance on the sales floor to detect suspicious activity
• Identify, deter, and apprehend individuals involved in theft or fraudulent activity
• Follow proper procedures for arrests, including safe and lawful handcuffing
• Collaborate with store management and law enforcement when required
• Complete detailed incident and investigation reports
• Maintain a safe and secure shopping environment for customers and staff

Qualifications for Security Guard - Loss Prevention in Sudbury

• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
• 3–5 years of retail loss prevention experience (required)
• Valid Security Guard License (Ontario)
• Valid CPR and First Aid Certification
• Proven experience in arrest and handcuffing procedures
• Strong observational and communication skills
• Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations
• Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations regarding loss prevention
