Position Summary:
Electronics Technician role supports and assists in the design assembly, testing, and configuration of electrical and electronic systems of the company that provides service and sale to the customer for system integration and monitoring and ensuring compliance with technical specifications and quality standards.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Assisting in the development of the design and testing new camera systems including equipment and peripherals to ensure functionality & quality.
• Perform diagnostic testing to locate circuit, component and equipment faults, for the equipment, cameras and other items that are received from the warehouse.
o Using hand and power tools to adjust, align, replace or repair electronic equipment, assemblies and components following equipment manuals and schematics.
o Complete work orders, test and maintenance reports
• Collaborate with operations and inventory Supervisors to assist other departments to meet timely support for installation, testing, and commissioning activities across projects.
o Work closely with the Field Operations Coordinator, Warehouse Supervisor/Manager to assist other work groups with meeting schedules through proper supply and allocation/reallocation of resources including staff, space and equipment to jobs and projects
• Keep a clean, well-organized and efficient work area
• Willingly performs all other duties and responsibilities assigned by the warehouse Supervisor/Manager.
• Perform other duties as assigned from time to time including, but not limited to, warehouse duties such as:
o Coordinating equipment handling and quality assurance activities, including shipping, receiving, cleaning, testing, and preparing electronic systems for redeployment.
o Assisting with the transport and setup of mobile system units (MSUs) between depots and project sites.
o Executing other technical duties as directed by the Warehouse Supervisor or Manager to support system integration and operational readiness.
Qualifications:
• Electrical/Electronics Engineering Technologists: A two‑ to three‑year college diploma in electrical or electronics engineering technology, computer engineering technology, telecommunications technology, or an equivalent field is required.
• 1 to 2 years of experience in related field
Core Competencies:
• Possesses strong knowledge of electrical and electronic systems, including assembly, configuration, and troubleshooting. Ensures quality and compliance through testing, calibration, and accurate technical documentation.
• Good computer skills and knowledge of video monitoring software
• Highly detail oriented to ensure that all work performed by staff is of the highest quality and meets all internal and external policy and procedural requirements
