Finance Administrator

We are looking for a Finance Administrator to join our team. 

 

Based in Hamilton, ON, the successful candidate is responsible for:

  • Monitoring and analyzing monthly variances to budget and trend analysis, work with branch managers to produce financial results and cost drivers on an ongoing basis.
  • Prepare detailed analysis of gross margin and assist to dissect jobs on a stand-alone basis to determine causes for large variances.
  • Support the Finance Business Partner to pull various reports and data to effectively communicate with the Regional and Branch Managers
  • Participate in budget process, defining assumptions and modeling scenarios, work closely with Finance Business Partner and the branch managers to prepare budgets and forecasts
  • Actively lead and participate in process and system improvement projects to ensure best practices are being delivered to high standard of data accuracy and efficiency
  • Other accounting and administrative duties as assigned to support the Finance team
  • Process payroll and invoicing, including adjustments from time to time when required

 

Position Requirements:

  • College diploma or degree in administration, finance or procurement
  •  2–4 years of experience in administration and finance.
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to interact and negotiate with others
  • Excellent communication skills in English. French would be an asset
  • Attention to detail, meticulousness, rigour and proactiveness
  • Ability to identify and solve problems, and strong organization and planning skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, problems and requests from internal clients in a timely manner
  • Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Suite, especially Excel
  • Ease navigating through various systems and ability to explain processes to users and guide them through the steps
