Ready to suit up as a Surveillance Security Guard

What matters most about a role like this is your sharp eye, capturing every detail as you scan a series of screens. Your strong observation skills with attention to detail are your greatest strengths. 

As a Surveillance Security Guard, you will be the person spotting threats before they escalate in environments such as security operation centres, call centers, construction sites, parking lots and gatehouses, etc.

Schedule- Saturday – 00:30 to 11:00 Saturday – 23:00 to 11:00 

Location- L8H 6W8

Responsibilities for Surveillance Security Guard

• Manage access control by verifying identification, issuing passes, securing restricted areas, and controlling master key access.

• Conduct regular interior and perimeter foot patrols to deter and detect theft, vandalism, or unauthorized activity.

• Monitor security systems, including CCTV, alarms, and fire panels, to identify suspicious activity or system issues.

• Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, and alarms; provide first aid/CPR and assist with evacuations when required.

• Identify and report safety hazards and ensure compliance with security, health, and safety policies.

• Document daily activities and incidents through clear and accurate reports; assist with investigations as needed.

• Coordinate with law enforcement and emergency services during serious incidents.

Qualifications for Surveillance Security Guard

• Be authorized to work in Canada
• Hold a valid security license
• 1 year of security guard experience
• First aid certification required
• Strong report writing skills
• Good eyesight and excellent ability to maintain focus
• Strong proficiency with technology
• Ability to stand and walk throughout shift
