Job Summary
The Setup Analyst is responsible for the precise configuration of video monitoring systems, ensuring 100% accuracy and efficiency in deployments. This role handles setups of all new installations, including sites, phases, poles, and cameras, while also managing system decommissioning during attrition. The analyst implements standardized configurations, troubleshoots issues, and maintains detailed documentation to ensure seamless operation. Collaboration with other teams is critical to maintaining system integrity and performance.
Key Responsibilities
System Configuration & Deployment
- Configure VMS, NVRs, IP cameras, and alarm systems for new installations (sites, phases, poles, or individual cameras).
- Ensure proper integration of devices with existing video management and monitoring platforms.
- Validate video feeds, camera angles, and recording settings to meet security and operational requirements.
Alarms Implementation
- Implement and configure standard alarm thresholds and motion detection rules.
- Apply established business best practices for all configurations.
- Identify security vulnerabilities and recommend hardware/software adjustments to mitigate risks.
System Maintenance & Decommissioning
- Remove and deactivate all system components (cameras, NVRs, user accounts) during attrition processes, ensuring data privacy compliance.
- Maintain detailed records of all configurations and changes
- Perform Configuration file backups to designated servers.
Troubleshooting & Escalation
- Resolve basic to intermediate technical issues (e.g., video latency, connectivity, false alarms).
- Escalate complex problems to other teams when required.
- Assist field technicians for hardware repairs or replacements when necessary.
Documentation & Compliance
- Document all ROI designs and system configurations.
- Adhere to data protection policies (e.g., masking sensitive areas in video feeds).
- Contribute to internal knowledge bases with deployment best practices and troubleshooting guides.
Collaboration & Training
- Work closely with other departments as needed to validate system functionality post-deployment.
- Assist Setup Engineers in testing new integrations and provide feedback on usability.
- Participate in training sessions for new technologies or workflow updates.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or similar.
Experience: (Preferred)
- Experience with Immix, Syncro, Avigilon, Orchid or similar VMS
- Experience in Avigilon, Hikvision, or similar IP camera configuration
- Alarms system integration
Skills:
- Solid understanding of IP networking fundamentals
- Solid Technician knowledge of IP devices, AI alarms integration or similar
Certifications (Preferred):
- CompTIA A+, or similar
- CompTIA NETWORK+, or similar
Work Environment
- Hybrid role (primarily in-person with occasional remote work).
- Must adhere to strict schedules for tasks deadlines and system go-lives.
- On-call rotation may be required for urgent deployments or outages.

- Maintain 100% configuration accuracy
- Meet or exceed SLA timelines for assigned Tasks.
- Ensure proper documentation of all work
- Adhere to all established business protocols
