Security Information Analyst (SIA)-EUDEL Afghanistan

Role Requirements

Only candidates that meet and are able to demonstrate the below hiring criteria’s will be considered:

  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Thorough  knowledge  of  the  country's  security  environment  with  recent  experience  in Afghanistan and preferably in Kabul;
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">A   professional   career   in   information   and   intelligence;   acquiring   security   related information  from  recognised  sources,  with  a  proven  capability  of  producing  threat  and risk assessments based on information received and processed;
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">He/she will be of EU nationality, and have graduated from and served a minimum of 3 years in an EU Member State military or police, ideally with experience of working in intelligence whilst serving. They should have held a minimum rank of NATO rank OR4 or police equivalent;
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Experience  of  minimum  6  months  in  working  in  office  processing  information,  with proven experience in contributing to project management;
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Ideally he / she has served in a similar international position in high risk hostile / conflict environment  for  a  minimum  period  of  3  years  consecutively  within  the  past  5  years, attested by reference letters from current and/or former employers;
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Proven knowledge of radio equipment and radio operational procedures;
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">English  according  to,  at  least,  level   B2   as   defined   in   the   standards   available at <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">http://europass.cedefop.europa.eu/en/resources/european-language-levels-cefr<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">,
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">knowledge of an Afghan language would be an advantage;
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Fully IT-literate in Word and Excel;
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Valid EU driving licence categories C, C1. Certified as B6 trained;
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Excellent knowledge in first aid, to be proven through relevant certificates.

Note: The member of staff occupying this post must hold a valid personal security clearance.



<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Services provided by the Contractor shall be those typically expected for someone in the Position and  include, but not be limited to the provision of ops support services to ensure the safety and security of all client staff and other personnel who come under duty of care of EUDEL Kabul, Afghanistan. Services the Contractor can expect to carry out, would include:

  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Forming part of the EU Joint Analysis Cell (EUJAC);
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">The EUJAC is tasked under the management of the SSIA, with collecting, collating and analysing open and other sources made available through foreign diplomatic missions and the  NATO  Mission  in  Afghanistan,  to  prepare  and  submit  threat  and  risk  assessment reports, as well as general analyses of the security environment of Afghanistan;
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">EUJAC products play a vital part in EU Delegation risk management and mitigation, and have a direct impact on the operational posture and tempo of Delegation work;
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">The EUJAC is always staffed by two EU MS EUJAC Contractor's staff members at all times during daylight / working hours;
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">The  SIA  reports  directly  to  the  SSIA  on  operational  matters  as  well  as  contract  and administrative issues.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Any other direction or reasonable request given by appropriate <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">GardaWorld<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif"> Management team in accordance with GW Standard Operating Procedures and Guidelines.
