Full Time Retail Security Guard - Kenora ON

If you are looking for a job where you will be working with the public, this is the job for you! As a Retail Security Guard you will play a key role in ensuring the safety of workers, businesses and the public!  

This position will see you serving as both a visual deterrence to theft and poor behaviour while also actively looking to identify those who choose to shoplift and act in an unsafe manner. 

Use of Force training; specifically handcuffing and baton use is seen as an asset however not required.

Pay Rate: $23.50/Hour

Schedule: Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday 1000-1815 Sunday 1100-1815

Applicants must be able to work the entire schedule in order to be considered.

What does a Security Guard in Kenora do?

• Act as a visual deterrence to theft and antisocial behaviour 

• Ensure safety of staff and customers

• Identification of shoplifters and those violating rules and laws

• Coordinate response to incidents  including medical emergencies

Qualifications to become a Security Guard in Kenora

• A valid security guard license and first aid card 

• Available to work flexible hours 

• Have a clear criminal background 

• Be eligible to work in Canada 

• Demonstrate excellent customer service skills

• Previous certification in NVCI or Verbal Intervention an asset

• Previous experience in Security an asset

• Previous experience with baton and handcuffing an asset
