We are looking for Patient Transfer Attendant professionals to support health-services and contribute to operational excellence.
Responsible for safely and respectfully transporting patients between medical facilities and homes using stretchers or wheelchairs, assisting medical staff with higher-acuity transfers, and ensuring patient comfort, dignity, and safety.

Patient Transfer Attendant Responsibilities
- Safely transport patients between medical facilities and residences while ensuring their comfort and dignity.
- Assist patients with mobility and safely operate stretchers and wheelchairs.
- Maintain accurate patient transfer records and communicate professionally with healthcare staff and families.
- Follow safety, infection control, and defensive driving procedures.
- Keep vehicles clean, properly maintained, and equipped.
- Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, professionalism, and excellent customer service.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of patient and company information
Licences & Certifications for Patient Transfer Attendant
- Valid Ontario G driver’s licence; F-class preferred.
- Clean driving record and valid vulnerable sector check.
- Current First Aid/CPR and AED certification.
- At least ONE of the following: AEMCA certification, first-year paramedic program completion, PSW qualification, EMR or First Responder certification, or current enrolment in an OT, PT, RN, or RPN program.
Patient Transfer Attendant Qualifications
- Legally authorized to work in Canada.
- Minimum one year of patient transfer or medical transportation experience preferred
- Experience in healthcare, emergency services, or non-emergency patient transport preferred.
- Physically capable of safely lifting and transferring patients weighing up to 250 lbs (100 kg) with a partner using a stretcher or wheelchair.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Provide a clean driver’s abstract and a vulnerable sector background check.
- Provide up-to-date immunization records, including MMR, DPT, polio, varicella, hepatitis B, TB skin test (Step 1), and any additional vaccinations required for healthcare settings, such as COVID-19
