Internally: Company-wide with a focus on the Strategic Sales Team, CST and Regional Directors. .

External: Clients, potential clients.

Job Outline:


The incumbent will be responsible for the management of GardaWorld’s Sales and CST Departments client focused research and will provide direct support to the Strategic Sales team throughout the sales process.


He/she will take ownership of the projects they are working on while being guided by the line manager when required. The incumbent will learn by doing rather than by observing through career-level responsibilities and will be treated as an important member of the team.


Key Responsibilities:


•             Perform research on multiple projects to include:

•             Sales campaigns

•             Major infrastructure programmes

•             Sector and geographic analysis both inbound and outbound business

•             and clients under the guidance of the Client Relationship Managers

•             Identify key influencers and decision makers in target accounts and prospects to enable sales approach to these leads;

•             Support early stage sales process through management of lead allocation and early stage correspondence and management of correspondence with prospects on behalf of CRMs

•             Contact prospective clients as and when required, per the Strategic Sales team campaigns.

•             Support Client Relationship Managers to schedule new client meetings and support development of value proposition and appropriate communication materials for each pitch

•             Work with Marketing Manager to maintain “pitch library” and sector specific marketing materials

•             Conduct and manage ongoing supervision of defined client procurement platforms to ensure all opportunities are identified to support Client Relationships Managers with ongoing major account management administration

•             Attend client meetings with other Strategic Sales team members as and when required;

•             Identify and communicate key changes and developments with target accounts and prospects to enable sales conversations


The Sales Manager, Strategic Client Group is accountable to the Senior Vice President, Strategic Client Group for their responsibilities stated in this job description and to each member of the sales team for the support they provide.


As directed by the Senior Vice President, Strategic Client Group as per the GardaWorld Authority Matrix.


•             Understanding of Socio-Economic factors within the Middle Eastern and Africa region;

•             Ability to produce complex conceptual written proposals/documentation (aimed at new business);

•             Ability and willingness to work both within a highly structured team environment and autonomously, depending upon proposal requirements;

•             Consultative approach and able to adapt easily to changes in deadlines and project terms;

•             Highly developed sense of ethics and values;

•             Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain excellent relationships with wide variety of stakeholders;

•             Able to respond quickly to client requirements and maintain project pace;

•             Superior communication skills – able to write clearly, succinctly and convincingly in a structured and methodical manner to meet objectives;

•             Analytical approach to all data presented and an interest in understanding data in a wider context;

•             Constantly monitors quality across the proposal and bid process and ensures legal compliance at all times;

•             Ability to maintain composure and work productively in a fast-paced environment



•             Bachelor Degree and/or Masters Degree in a relevant discipline such Political Science, International Affairs, History, Law, Marketing, Sales, Business Administration and Economics;

•             Minimum 3- 5 years’ experience within a commercially driven environment with a focus on preparation of client /sales documentation and/or interactions;

•             Experience with identifying new business opportunities and with managing and developing current business networks;

•             Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, MS Word in particular,

•             Well-developed interpersonal skills.

•             Previous experience in a similar role in the industry preferred

•             Knowledge of operational and technical physical security issues desirable.
