From monitoring high-tech security systems to conducting hands-on access and baggage control, your attention to detail and communication skills will make a real impact.

Responsibilities for Airport Security Guard

• Conduct access control and baggage inspections to ensure safety

• Perform aircraft searches and monitor catering areas, including observing and sealing catering equipment

• Monitor security systems to detect suspicious activity in real time

• Respond promptly to incidents or potential threats

• Conduct regular foot patrols both indoors and outdoors, regardless of weather conditions

• Document observations and incidents in detailed reports

• Analyze security systems to identify potential vulnerabilities

• Collaborate with law enforcement during serious situations or emergencies

Work Schedule

• Shifts may include days, afternoons, evenings, and overnights. 

• Typical shifts are around 4 hours

• Work may be required both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions

  • Monitor security systems to detect suspicious activity in real time

  • Conduct regular foot patrols both indoors and outdoors, regardless of weather conditions

  • Must be flexible

Qualifications for Airport Security Guard

• • Authorized to work in Canada

  • Valid Ontario Security License – Required

  • Standard First Aid Level C Certification – Required

  • Strong observation and communication skills

  • Excellent report writing skills

  • Ability to stand, walk, and remain alert throughout your shift

  • Access to a personal vehicle - Asset
