We are currently hiring a Customer Exception Handling Supervisor for our Cash Services division in Mississauga, Ontario.

Your mission at GardaWorld:

The Customer Exception Handling Supervisor is a highly motivated team player, with management and leadership experience, who will provide operational support to our clients. The Supervisor will build strong teams that focus on excellent customer service, balanced with strong risk mitigation and a culture of compliance that are critical to the success of our customers. He/She will be responsible to execute successful operations with complex transactions that require a keen eye for details. He/She will be well-versed in processes under the role’s responsibility and will be results-driven and focused.

You will be responsible of:

  • Managing the department’s resources and work processes cost effectively and efficiently
  • Ensuring that the contractual obligations of customers are achieved
  • Conducts daily/weekly audits on various function activities to ensure high quality standards are achieved.
  • Reports and communicates all operational problems to the Client Services group that might compromise customer service.
  • Monitor and improve the department's profitability and security continually
  • Maintaining accountability for the performance of the department to which one is assigned
  • Carrying on-the-job induction training
  • Ensuring all positions are staffed and executed properly and on time
  • Completing work schedules for branch departments on a daily/weekly basis
  • Ensuring employees are aware of and adhere to operational and security guidelines
  • Promoting the Health and Safety of Branch Personnel
  • Monitoring service levels, taking corrective action where necessary
  • Managing staff to maintain the highest level of customer care
  • Conducting customer briefing and site surveys
  • Collaborate with other supervisors and staff members in order to formulate and implement policies, procedures, goals, and objectives
  • Briefing departmental staff on operational and company matters
  • Dealing with Union Shop Steward on a day-to-day basis
  • Contributing to compilation of branch budget and targeted key performance indicators
  • Perform all other related duties

You are the ideal candidate for this position because you possess: 

  • Experience in managing unionized staff
  • Available to work on a day or night schedule
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English) & interpersonal skills and the ability to adjust with all levels of personnel.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Attention to detail and ability to abide by operational and security policies and procedures
  • Ability to multi-task, problem-solve and make decisions
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work activities
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Experience and/or knowledge of armored operations, currency processing and bank operations experience preferred.
  • Ability to work in a noisy environment with a great deal of physical movement required
