Human Resources Advisor

We are currently hiring a Human Resources Advisor based in Mississauga for our Cash Services Division.

Reporting to the Senior HR Manager, you will be working collaboratively with members of the management team and of the union regarding the employee and labour relations providing advice and expertise in those areas.

You will be responsible for:


  • Implementing and interpreting the collective agreement
  • Advising on all employment and labour relations polices, agreements and issues
  • Supporting management on matters relating to the Collective Agreement including seniority, job postings and disciplines
  • Conducting research to assist with the design and implementation of policies and procedures
  • Conducting grievance resolution meetings and grievance arbitrations
  • Managing the WSIB claims
  • Representing  the company in a variety of joint labour committees
  • Assisting with recruiting when needed
  • All other related duties



You are the ideal candidate for this position because you possess:

  • Post graduate education in Labour Relations, Human Resources, or a related area
  • 2-3  years of experience in labour relations
  • Strong skills in communication, analytical thinking, planning, and organizing
  • Strong understanding of labour relations, policies and procedures, employment legislation and collective agreements
  • Work experience with Provincial legislation is an asset
  • Strong teamwork and partnership orientation
  • Sense of urgency, outstanding communication skills and problem solving
  • Good listening skills and sense of analysis
  • Good interpersonal skills and strong capacity of adaptation and stress management
