Recruitment Support Specialist - Temporary 6-Month Position

We are looking for a motivated Recruitment Support Specialist to support the full candidate onboarding process in the aviation sector. You will work closely with the recruitment, training, and HR teams to transition candidates into qualified employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manages and maintains onboarding of candidates to support timelines for changes in staffing requirements and effective enrollment detail.
- Tracks, monitors and processes documentation related to new candidates in a timely and accurate manner
- Completing background and employment reference checks to ensure that employment requirements are compliant
- Coordinates the start dates for the part-time pre-certified officer position and offers employment to candidates who express interest in the role.
- Liaising with local airport authority pass offices to confirm new security clearances and track results for status reports.
- Coordinates enrollment into SOF training ensuring that classes are at capacity to meet the client’s requirements
- Conducting onboarding tasks for new hires by creating EID’s and distributing New Hire Packages/payroll documents
- Work with the recruitment team on the analysis of internal recruitment figures, statistics, and trends such as application rates, candidate’s success rates and candidate withdrawal rates.
- Works with the Human Resources Team to ensure that candidates are equipped with all necessary documents and information before transitioning to an employee.
- Facilitates the transfer of recruitment documents to Human Resources for the employee’s personnel file.
- Schedules interviews; oversees preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials.
- Support the coordination and execution of job fairs and recruitment events to assist in attracting and engaging qualified candidates.
- Responsible for adherence to systems, processes, and policies in support of the organization's vision and programs.
- Screen applications and select qualified candidates as needed.
- Assists with the interview process, attending and conducting interviews with managers, directors, and other stakeholders when required.
- Working in collaboration with the recruitment team to monitor all screening officer recruiting activities and progress.
Education
- A minimum of 1 - 3 years experience in the full recruitment / onboarding process
- A minimum of High School is required or equivalent work experience.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office, (Word, Excel, Outlook)

- Strong commitment to teamwork.
- Requires moderate direction to complete more complex tasks; completes routine tasks with little or no supervision.
- Understanding of the aviation security screening industry
- Understanding of administrative processes related to recruitment with a demonstrated ability to work within a regulatory and compliance driven environment
Working Conditions
- 0% to 5% of this position is travel-based, within Canada.
- This position is currently hybrid base.
- Physical requirements include but are not limited to – sitting for prolonged periods, extensive use of a computer/electronic device.
- Ability to mentally focus and concentrate for prolonged periods.
- Ability to facilitate in person sessions require sitting, speaking, and directing participation of small (3 to 4 people) to large (20 to 50 people) groups during regular business hours over multiple days.
- Demonstrated ability to work remotely with little to no supervision.
- Work from an offsite remote office with the ability to conduct work through chat-based video platforms (ie. MS Teams)
- Work near others. Will share the same workspace and work with people from varying organizational levels, divisions, departments and geographical locations.
- Overtime can be controlled but may be required dependent on program needs.
- Works with little to no direct supervision on routine tasks.
- Salary Range: $25.00 - $30.00/hour
