Uniform Coordinator

The Uniform Coordinator plays a crucial role in managing the distribution and tracking of uniforms for screening personnel. They are responsible for ensuring timely distribution, proper fitting, and maintenance of uniforms. This role involves collaborating with various internal teams, maintaining accurate records, and promoting compliance with uniform wear guidelines and professional appearance standards.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Order, track, and distribute uniform items to new and existing screening personnel.
  • Perform uniform fittings for new and existing screening personnel, ensuring proper sizing and fit.
  • Manage individual accounts for all screening personnel, including the point allocation system and Logistik Unicorp.
  • Create and maintain active and inactive uniform files in compliance with internal and client guidelines.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all uniform-related inquiries from team members and screening personnel.
  • Handle uniform returns, exchanges, and manage the destruction of controlled items.
  • Conduct site and floor inspections to ensure uniform wear complies with SOPs, internal, and client guidelines.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and provide constructive feedback to enhance the uniform department's efficiency and quality of service.
  • Assist with internal and client-based audits related to uniform management and compliance.
  • Demonstrate continuous effort to improve the overall uniform department by streamlining work processes and providing superior quality customer service.

 

Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • A minimum of secondary education or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience in uniform management, preferably in a customer service-oriented industry.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with employees, vendors, and suppliers.
  • Proficient in using inventory management software or systems; experience with database management is an asset.
  • Familiarity with procurement processes, vendor management principles, and compliance regulations.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to maintaining compliance with policies, standards, and regulations related to uniforms and consumables.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing requirements and organizational needs.

  • Interpersonal Skills - Ability to interact and communicate with employees and possibly clients daily. Strong interpersonal skills such as likeability, positivity, fairness, and calmness under pressure are vital in building trust, positive working relationships, and an excellent reputation for service.
  • Best Practices – Maintain processes and policies in support of organizational goals. Support and implement departmental and organizational policies and procedures to maximize output. Monitor adherence to rules, regulations, and procedures. This includes following specific directions and being able to assist with operational tasks as necessary.
  • Ability to Follow Directions - Liaison with top management. Assist in the development of daily workforce plans for operational activity. Implement and monitor operational plans, and be able to provide feedback and solutions to operational management. Strong ability to listen, comprehend and follow the unique style of their direct manager, yet be able to provide insight or feedback respectfully and appropriately.
  • Workforce Planning - Monitor performance and implement improvements. Provide technical support where necessary.

 

Working Conditions:

  • Most of the time is spent at the front line of the business (indoors) but may, on occasion, work outside, with frequent opportunities to move about.   
  • Physical requirements include but are not limited to - standing, lifting, bending, stooping, and kneeling.
  • Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
  • Are exposed to sounds and noise levels that are distracting or uncomfortable daily.
  • Work near others. They often share the same workspace and work with other incumbents holding the same position.
  • Work schedule is generally defined but can be altered frequently, resulting in schedule changes.
  • Overtime may be required, dependent on operational requirements.
