Purpose of Position

The Regional Manager is responsible for operational oversight of an assigned region and it’s personnel, to retain, improve and develop the existing client base, ensure operational excellence and profitability and ensure a culture of continuous improvement.

Work Environment

The Regional Manager will be expected to travel within the assigned region for client visits, with occasional visits outside the region.  The Regional Manager will be expected to manage his/her time to accommodate a 24/7 operation.

Structure and Relationship

The position reports directly to the Regional Vice President, overseeing managers, recruitment, scheduling and all other aspects of day to day operations in their region.  The Regional Manager will work closely with the support team and directly with the Business Development team to improve and grow the book of business in their region.

Required Skills
  • Must be bilingual (French / English)
  • Entrepreneur and self-starter attitude
  • Ability to speak in a public setting and lead various types of presentations
  • Prior operational management experience
  • Ability to coach, mentor & develop personnel
  • Proven ability to prioritize & multi-task in a fast-paced environment; excellent problem solving, organization & analytical skills to juggle competing priorities
Task Related Objectives
  • Overall fiscal responsibility of the assigned region including budget management
  • Main point of contact for all potential Business Development opportunities
  • Maximize customer retention by driving and ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Validate corrective action for complaints, respond to escalated inquiries/requests quickly and professionally, as required in the Business Management Manual
  • Ensure customer expectations and contractual requirements are translated into operating instructions, including Standing Orders, training check sheets and KPI’s
  • Facilitate New Account Start Ups and Close Outs in accordance with GardaWorld protocols
  • Oversee the day to day (24/7) operations of the assigned region
  • Directly manage a team and provide leadership, direction, and tactical coordination for all operational activities.
