Advisor, Internal Communications

As an Internal Communications Advisor, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing effective communication strategies to engage and inform our employees, foster a positive organizational culture, and align teams with our business objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in internal communications, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a deep understanding of effective communication channels and tactics.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Develop and execute comprehensive internal communication strategies that align with the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Responsible for recurring internal communications content vehicles
  • Copywrites and distributes content relevant to business operations and employee life
  • Create engaging and informative communication materials, including emails, newsletters, intranet content, presentations, and videos, to effectively share updates, announcements, and key messages with employees.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including HR, executive leadership, and department heads, to ensure consistent and timely communication of important company initiatives, policies, and changes.
  • Craft compelling stories and narratives that convey the organization's mission, values, and successes, and promote employee engagement and morale.
  • Manage and maintain internal communication channels, such as intranet platforms, digital signage, and email distribution lists, ensuring content relevance, accuracy, and accessibility.
  • Coordinate and support employee events, town hall meetings, and other internal communication activities, including logistics, content development, and presentation materials.
  • Conduct surveys, focus groups, and other feedback mechanisms to gather employee insights, assess communication effectiveness, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide guidance and support to managers and leaders on effective internal communication practices, including message development, cascading information, and engaging employees in two-way communication.
  • Monitor and analyze internal communication metrics and feedback to measure the impact and effectiveness of communication initiatives and recommend enhancements accordingly.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging tools and technologies in internal communications, and proactively propose innovative ideas to enhance employee engagement and communication.

 

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in internal communications, employee communications, or related roles, preferably in a corporate setting.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clear, concise, and compelling content for diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and executing internal communication strategies and plans, including content creation, channel management, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships, collaborate, and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in using various communication tools and platforms, including intranet systems, email marketing software, and digital signage solutions.
  • Creative and innovative mindset, with the ability to think strategically and propose new ideas to enhance internal communication effectiveness.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and deliver high-quality work.
  • Knowledge of employee engagement practices and methodologies, and the ability to apply them to enhance internal communication efforts.
  • Experience with survey tools and data analysis to measure communication effectiveness and gather employee feedback.
  • Attention to detail, well-organized, self-starter.
