Communications Advisor

GardaWorld is looking for a Communications Advisor for GardaWorld Cash Services. Reporting to GardaWorld Cash Services’ VP Brand Innovation and Strategy, the chosen candidate will have a role in both internal and external communications.

 

Responsibilities include drafting and publishing internal communications, overseeing the quality of communications, crafting and governing the corporate voice of our business and executives, managing corporate communications and public relations efforts, and supporting on employee engagement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a clear voice and tone for our corporate internal and external communications, and for key senior level executives (C-Suite, VPs, Directors). Govern this by creating, copyediting, and proofreading strategic documents, and conducting quality checks on communications.
  • Create and execute proactive and reactive communications tactics to support complex initiatives and mandates, including internal communications that address organizational perception and reputation.
  • Manage and own communications tools, platforms and repositories that enable internal communications and/or employee engagement.
  • Build and foster strong relationships with key communications partners throughout the organization, including the Global Communications team to ensure Cash Services is elevated and well-represented in global communications efforts, as well as external PR/communications agencies.
  • Contribute to structuring and maintaining employee engagement programs to foster a culture of safety, recognition and teamwork, and ensure program longevity, relevance and impact.

 

Skills And Qualifications

  • 3-5+ years of experience in communications, with an emphasis in internal communications experience.
  • Flawless English writing and presentation skills; the ability to clearly convey thoughts and write in someone else’s tone of voice with authenticity and confidence. French is an asset.
  • Experience working cross-functionally, and particularly with senior-stakeholders on complex topics, with knowledge of how to create processes that make it easy for busy people to contribute.
  • Fluency with internal collaboration tools and experience with conducting online meetings.
  • Ability to work autonomously.
  • Proven team player with a positive, proactive attitude and fantastic interpersonal, entrepreneurial and leadership skills.
  • Prior B2B experience and experience communicating with front-line employees is a strong asset.
  • Excellent understanding of digital platforms and marketing, social media marketing.
  • Ability to work independently, juggle and manage multiple projects and deliver results under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to effectively cope in an environment that requires flexibility and agility, finding solutions and ways to advance work despite ambiguity.
