About the Role

As a GardaWorld Academy Product Owner, your primary role is to setup, deploy and maintain learning and development programs, events and resources to GardaWorld employees and partners around the globe. Reporting to the Global Learning Systems Manager, you will take ownership of the learning management system and align/configure the product to best meet the business’s strategic goals and vision for development, training and certification.

Your Responsibilities

• Define and communicate a clear product vision and strategy for GardaWorld Academy;
• Act as an expert on GardaWorld’s learning systems;
• Ensure that the needs and expectations of internal stakeholders are met by the platform’s functionalities, and promote transparency through effective communication;
• Develop strategies to encourage user adoption of the Academy ;
• Create and maintain product documentation and training of internal stakeholders & partners as required;
• Create and generate reports on user activity, engagement and performance on an international scale, following guidelines set by the stakeholders;
• Be a part of user support groups, often acting as a liaison between Academy users and IT support to ensure a seamless user experience;
• Lead and analyse organisational surveys, enabling team colleagues to develop recommendations for continuous improvement and offer possible solutions;
• Monitor user engagement and adjust product features and/or communications as needed ;
• Support regional Academy administrators and learning & development teams by ensuring product support and communicating best practice standards;
• Lead quality assurance tests for LMS functionality and content for all platform and content launches;
• Carry out a variety of tasks on the platform such as: managing user accounts, roles, authorisations, compliance and governance; managing content; customising and localising the interface, monitoring the system and resolving problems;

What we are looking for:

• Post-secondary education in a related field (e.g. Computer Science, Education, Human Resources, etc)
• Experience of implementing a learning management system or learning experience platform in a global organisation
• Experience with the Absorb LMS (an important asset)
• Experience delivering learning projects in an international organisation
• Experience writing manuals or work instructions or experience in continuous improvement (an important asset)
• Fluency in English (candidates based in Quebec must be bilingual in French and English)
• A basic understanding of programming concepts, to facilitate collaboration with the IT team and a grasp of IT infrastructure basicsis an asset.
