Senior Advisor, Communications and Public Affairs

GardaWorld is currently looking for a Senior Advisor, Communications and Public Affairs.

Reporting directly to the Director, Global Corporate Communications and Public Affairs, the advisor plans, organizes and coordinates all press relations coming from here and abroad. The individual will be responsible for analyzing media requests including interview requests for all GardaWorld divisions, coordinating telephone or in-person interviews, and playing a proactive role in the organization's media planning and crisis management. The person will also have Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) at the communications level.

Kes Responsabilities: 

 


•    Manages, analyzes and coordinates media requests; 
•    Prepares press materials and arguments for spokespeople if necessary; 
•    Writes and broadcasts press releases; 
•    Coordinates the translation of press releases; 
•    Writes or coordinates the production of corporate documents including the annual corporate responsibility report; 
•    Participates in the training of spokespeople; 
•    Helps with crisis management; 
•    Manages media events; 
•    Provides media monitoring on issues that may affect the organization; 
•    Collaborates with the various strategies for social networks; 
•    Prepares the daily press review; 
•    Plays a proactive role in identifying media opportunities. 

 

 

Job requirements: 

 


•    University degree in journalism or communication; 
•    Excellent English and French communication skills, oral or written (The use of English will be predominant); 
•    A minimum of 7 years of experience in equivalent work; 
•    Excellent knowledge of the Office suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint); 
•    Political experience (an asset); 
•    Available for travel.
