Business Unit:  Corporate
Career Area:  Africa
Location:

Nigeria, NG Dar Es Salam, Nigeria, TZ

Who We Are Looking For

Crisis24 is seeking an experienced Security Risk Management Professional to support an energy services provider operating across Nigeria and Tanzania, with planned expansion in Africa. This is an embedded role, working closely with leadership and operational teams to strengthen security governance and support safe growth.

You are practical, steady under pressure, and able to operate comfortably across corporate and field environments. You bring strong judgement, credibility with senior stakeholders, and the ability to build simple, workable security processes that improve decision-making and operational resilience.

What You Will Work On

  • Lead the development and continuous improvement of the organisation’s Security Management Plan aligned to business strategy and expansion needs.

  • Implement proportionate security controls across offices, warehouses, field sites, and remote hubs, keeping solutions operationally realistic.

  • Own incident management standards: classification, escalation thresholds, investigations, reporting, and post-incident learning.

  • Manage and assure third-party security and facilities providers through standards, KPIs, audits, and performance oversight.

  • Build and run a practical Travel Risk Management approach, including journey planning, accommodation standards, check-ins, and elevated risk protocols.

  • Deliver security onboarding and awareness, including personal safety and incident actions for staff and key contractors.

  • Integrate intelligence outputs into real operational decisions, coordinating closely with an intelligence support function.

  • Align security with broader HSE governance through risk assessments, site audits, hazard identification, and corrective actions.

  • Act as the principal security adviser to leadership, translating risk into clear recommendations and priorities.

Who You Will Work With

  • Senior leadership and regional management teams
  • Operations and People/HR teams
  • An intelligence support function providing threat and risk insight
  • Third-party security and facilities vendors
  • A Crisis24 oversight and reach-back team for escalation support and continuity

What You Will Bring

  • 7 to 10+ years’ experience in corporate security risk management, protective security, or related fields, with substantial in-country experience in Nigeria. East Africa experience is an advantage.

  • Demonstrated experience supporting multi-site operations, including remote or rural environments.

  • Strong incident leadership, including escalation, coordination, investigation, and structured reporting.

  • Experience managing third-party security providers and driving standards and performance.

  • Practical travel risk management capability.

  • Confidence working across security and HSE interfaces (risk assessments, audits, corrective actions).

Optional Benefit Section.

  • Primarily office-based in Nigeria or Tanzania, with travel across the operating footprint as required. Remote working may be possible depending on circumstances and operational requirements.
  • Full-time embedded role, Monday to Friday, with expectation of availability for urgent incidents.
  • Contract term: 12 months (with potential extension depending on business needs).
  • Equipment provided by the client; business travel costs covered as per policy.
