As a Marine Transport Security Guard, you will be the first line of defense—monitoring vessel activity, securing port facilities, and identifying potential threats before they escalate. Whether stationed at port entry points, onboard marine vessels, or in control centers, your role is critical in protecting marine infrastructure and ensuring compliance with maritime security protocols.

Responsibilities for Marine Transport Security Guard

• Monitor security systems to detect any suspicious activity
• Document observed events and incidents, writing detailed reports
• Respond quickly to incidents such as First Aid or potential threats
• Conduct regular patrols to ensure the safety of the premises
• Control access to secure areas and verify the identities of visitors and employees
• Removing any type of loitering or trespassers on the property 
• Collaborate with law enforcement in case of serious situations or emergencies

Qualifications for Marine Transport Security Guard

• Be authorized to work in Canada
• Hold a valid BC security license
• Marine Transport Secuirty Clearance (MTSC) required
• First aid certification - OFA 2 required
• Strong report writing skills
• Good eyesight and excellent ability to maintain focus
• Strong proficiency with technology
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
