What does a Proposal Writer do?
- Define proposal concepts by identifying opportunities and needs.
- Collaborate with sales and subject matter experts for a strategic and persuasive approach.
- Gather proposal information, manage submissions, and address associated risks.
- Create high-quality, customized responses and proofread for accuracy.
- Ensure proposal deadlines are met by establishing priorities and schedules.
- Report issues to managers promptly.
- Maintain quality standards and proposal support databases.
- Enhance proposal writing processes and material while maintaining a response library for future reference.
- Organize and manage electronic files in the company's platform and CRM.
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of RFP writing or corporate communications experience.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Highly organized and self-directed.
- Exceptional project management and problem-solving skills.
- Collaborative team player.
- Deadline-driven in a fast-paced environment.
- Bilingualism is a plus.
