Finance Manager, Crisis24

Contact and Cooperation:

Internally: Focus on general finance tasks, working independently within entity and as part the wider Crisis24 finance team. High level of collaboration with other finance roles, other departments as required to promote effective finance business partnering, and stakeholders in other company offices. 

Externally: Local banks, suppliers, clients, contractors, auditors, accountants, advisors, payroll providers

Job Outline:

The Finance Manager will assist the VP Finance based in Bournemouth where required and take ownership of the following duties:

 

•             General Ledger data entry to trial balance, including prepaid, accruals, work in progress and fixed assets and intercompany account transactions.

•             Maintenance of both the local French finance system and the corporate finance system, FinancialForce, including, where required, integration with Crisis24 CRM

•             Monthly balance sheet reconciliations.

•             Monthly reporting to VP Finance and Managing Director of Integrated Risk Management, including forecasts and variance analysis.

•             Finance Business Partnering within Crisis24 Division, including management of departmental P&Ls and budgets, including liaising with other regional departments to drive process and performance improvement through enhanced integration with Finance.

•             Build relationship and foster highly effective team working with senior management in Paris and counterparts in other countries, particularly with other Crisis24 Finance Managers in the UK, US and South Africa.

•             Bank and cash management, including managing cash-flow, monthly reconciliations of bank accounts and petty cash, plus liaising with bank where necessary.

•             Accounts receivable, including preparation of sales invoices on an as required basis.

•             Accounts payable, including setup of payments for authorization.

•             Preparation of data for monthly payroll by payroll bureau.

•             Preparation and filing of quarterly VAT returns, EC Sales Lists and any other local requirements.

•             Assisting with audits, including management of audit queries with both local and group auditors.

•             Ensure timely filing to meet local regulatory and government requirements.

•             Manage and execute wider corporate function tasks and provide local corporate support

•             Ad hoc tasks as and when required.

Accountability:

The Finance Manager is accountable to the VP Finance for their responsibilities stated in this job description. These responsibilities will be monitored and managed through the mid-year and annual performance review and supported through the monitoring of their KPIs.

Core accountabilities are:

•             Accurate submissions of works scope and report

•             Ensures compliance with financial controls, upholds financial governance, and is vigilant to suspicious transactions and fraud

•             Meeting submission deadlines

•             Execution of defined administrative tasks

•             Participation in company performance management cycle

Competencies:

•             Proactive management and ownership of role.

•             Develop relationships with global finance function and Finance Managers in other locations.

•             Team working focus and cross border and broad thinking.

•             Relevant Finance qualification, or part qualified

•             Fluent English and French speaker.

•             Must have good written and verbal communication skills.

•             Must have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

•             Experience with cloud-based CRM-integrated finance packages an advantage, but not essential.

Experience:

•             1+ years’ experience in a Finance Manager or equivalent role, or looking to step up into the role

•             Must have a Finance qualification or be studying towards one
