Ready to suit up as a Tactical Security Guard

GardaWorld is seeking a compassionate and skilled Security Guard to join our Hospital team.  As a first point of contact for patients, families and staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring a safe and welcoming environment.  This position is ideal for individuals looking to gain transferrable skills for future careers in Law Enforcement, Corrections or for advancement within the security industry.  Our hospital guards receive paid, sought after training and have the ability to move into senior roles directly on site. 

Successful applicants will be able to demonstrate motivation for wanting to work in a hospital setting, be able to practice exceptional customer service at all times and be physically able to move to and address emergent situations in a timely manner. 

Starting Pay Rate: $20.00/Hour, $22.44/Hour after completing probationary period.

Schedule: FULL TIME continental rotation; two weeks days then two weeks nights.

Responsibilities for Tactical Security Guard

• • Ensure the safety of people and property and keeping the peace 
  • Provide exceptional customer service to staff, patients and visitors
  • Enforce safety procedures and standards 
  • Escort and assist anyone as needed  
  • Intervene during an emergency or crisis 
  • Operate video surveillance equipment  
  • Be able to work well in stressful and emotional settings

Qualifications for Tactical Security Guard

• A valid Security Guard Licence 
• Previous Security Experience
• Experience working with vulnerable populations
• Have a clear criminal background 
• Be eligible to work in Canada 
• NVCI or Verbal Intervention Training an asset
