As an Industrial Security Guard, you will play a critical role in maintaining the safety and security of a heavy-duty industrial site, actively monitoring operations, conducting patrols, controlling site access, and responding to incidents in high-risk environments such as manufacturing facilities, processing plants, warehouses, equipment yards, and active industrial worksites.

Responsibilities for Security Guard

• Monitor security systems to detect any suspicious activity
• Respond quickly to incidents or potential threats
• Document observed events and incidents, writing detailed reports
• Conduct regular foot patrols to ensure the safety of the premises
• Control access to secure areas and check visitor identification
• Analyze security systems to identify potential vulnerabilities or malfunctions
• Work with law enforcement in case of serious situations or emergencies

Qualifications for Security Guard

• Be authorized to work in Canada
• Hold a valid BC security license 
• First aid certification - an asset
• Strong report writing skills
• Good eyesight and excellent ability to maintain focus
• Strong proficiency with technology
• Ability to stand and walk throughout shift
