The Operations Security Lead plays a critical role in overseeing and coordinating the daily operations and security of the airport terminal. This position is responsible for ensuring safe, secure, efficient, and customer-focused operations, including the management of contractors, policies, and procedures. The successful candidates will maintain compliance with specific regulations and industry standards while delivering a seamless experience for passengers and tenants at one of our biggest client site in Regina.

Position 2 Monday to Friday 1500-2300

 

Position 3 Monday to Friday 2300-0700

 

Position 4 Sat & Sun 0700-1500

 

Position 5 Sat & Sun 1500-2300

 

Position 6 Sat & Sun 2300-0700

(Must be able to work all the shifts)

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and enforce security protocols to protect passengers, employees, tenants, and facilities.
  • Proactively ensure security measures are in place to prevent acts of unlawful interference and safeguard restricted areas.
  • Liaise with law enforcement agencies for airport-related matters.
  • Oversee security systems such as CCTV, alarms, and access control, ensuring their effectiveness.
  • Manage the Airport Security Business Continuity Plan and serve as the primary contact for security incidents or breaches, coordinating with airport security personnel, stakeholders, or law enforcement as needed.
  • Conduct daily audits of contractor keys and passes and manage required escorts for airside/apron access.
  • Manage all related programs, such as Gate management, Irregular operations (IROP), Snow Desk, Apron Management Plan, Parking, Ground Transportation Services, and Curbside Operations and all related programs.
  • Function as the Chief Emergency Warden (CEW) during ATB evacuations and assist in the RAA Emergency Response Plan under the direction of the ERS or EOC Director.
  • Collaborate with all partners such as CATSA, CBSA, Airline, Ground handlers, etc.
  • Oversee the safe and efficient operation of the airport terminal, ensuring compliance with operational and safety standards.
  • Identify and report maintenance or repair needs for airport facilities, utilities, equipment, critical systems and technology to ensure proper upkeep and longevity of infrastructure.
  • Oversee the daily operation of critical systems, including bridges, baggage handling, security, overhead doors, and parking, ensuring minimal disruption to service.
  • Serve as the point of contact for after-hours concerns and coordinate quick system restarts or repairs where applicable.
  • Oversee the daily functionality of bridges, baggage handling systems, parking, and other infrastructure.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service, addressing passenger and tenant inquiries promptly.
  • Proactively implement improvements based on passenger and tenant feedback.
  • Conduct regular inspections of cleaning services and operational standards, ensuring compliance.
  • Investigate incidents and accidents in accordance with the Safety Management System (SMS), logging reports and implement short term corrective action plans where needed.

Qualifications:

Education & Certification

  • A high school diploma is preferred.
  • Post-secondary education in aviation management, business, or related fields is an asset.
  • Eligibility for a Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC).
  • Ability to obtain ROC-A and AVOP D licenses.
  • Valid Driver’s License

Experience and Skills

  • Previous experience in operations or supervisory roles, ideally in aviation, logistics, or hospitality.
  • Proactive, strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Customer service expertise and familiarity with emergency or safety procedures are advantageous.
  • Basic computer skills and the ability to learn and use operational management software (training will be provided).

Physical & Availability Requirements:

  • Flexibility to work 24/7 shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to perform light-to-heavy duties, including inspections and lifting up to 50 lbs.
