As an Industrial Security Guard, you will play a vital role in maintaining the safety, security, and operational integrity of a fast-paced industrial and logistics facility. Serving as the first line of defense, you will monitor site activity, control access points, conduct patrols, and respond to security incidents with professionalism and confidence. Through proactive surveillance, risk identification, and strong attention to detail, you will help protect people, assets, and operations while ensuring a safe and secure environment for employees, contractors, and visitors. This is an opportunity to be part of a critical team that supports the smooth operation of a large-scale warehouse and distribution network.

Responsibilities for Security Guard in an Industrial site

  • Monitor security systems to detect any suspicious activity
  • Respond quickly to incidents or potential threats
  • Document observed events and incidents, writing detailed reports
  • Conduct regular foot patrols to ensure the safety of the premises
  • Control access to secure areas and check visitor identification
  • Analyze security systems to identify potential vulnerabilities or malfunctions
  • Work with law enforcement in case of serious situations or emergencies

Qualifications for Security Guard in an Industrial site

  • Be authorized to work in Canada
  • Hold a valid BC security license 
  • First aid certification - an asset
  • Strong report writing skills
  • Good eyesight and excellent ability to maintain focus
  • Strong proficiency with technology
  • Physically able to drive, patrol, stand, and walk for extended periods
  • Alert, detail-oriented, with strong situational awareness
  • Proficient in basic phone & computer skills
