GardaWorld is currently hiring a Manager, Pay & Bill for our Protective Services Division business line.  This position works at both locations, Modern Rd/Scarborugh & Stanfield Rd/Mississauga Offices.

Job Description

Reporting to the Director, Business Administration & Compliance & works collaboratively with Account Managers, Portfolio Directors, Recruiting & Scheduling.  The incumbent is responsible for oversight & management of activities within the Pay & Bill team.  This position will ensure quality service & overall accuracy, is being provided to customers, both internal & external customers at a Regional Level.

Payroll Duties Will Include
  • Prepares reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, pay & nontaxable wages.
  • Maintains payroll guidelines by writing & updating policies & procedures.
  • Complies with provincial & federal requirements by studying existing & new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
  • Maintains employee confidence & protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Maintains professional & technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks & participating in professional societies.
  • Completes operational requirements by scheduling & assigning employees, following up on work results.
Billing Duties Will Include
  • Oversee & streamline billing & collection processes.
  • Month-end closing of the billing.
  • Plan & implement quality assurance for all processes.
  • Creates manual invoices for customers with special requirements (i.e. that cannot be addressed through regular or default invoicing options).
  • Coordinates billing for services rendered, improving overall accuracy & efficiencies.
  • Maintains master customer files & ensures filing of essential correspondence & contractual documents.
  • Manual programming & reconciliation for statutory holidays.
  • Responsible for oversight of Account Receivables, including validation of account discrepancies by obtaining & investigating information.
  • Works in collaboration with the team to resolve receivable issues by reviewing of payment history, invoicing issues, client complaints, etc.
Qualifications
  • Certified professional, either Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) or Certified Payroll Manager (CPM). 
  • Proven ability to perform strategic planning & priority setting for the Pay & Bill team.
  • Proven record of accomplishment for improving process efficiencies & solving problems.
  • Strong leadership skills, with an ability to motivate direct reports.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written & verbal.
  • Excellent analytical & problem-solving skills.
  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite experience, specifically Excel.
